Marilyn C. Miller, 77, Minster, died at 6:22 p.m. March 21, 2013, at Heartland of Piqua.

She was born Oct. 19, 1936, in Maria Stein, to Henry and Matilda Heitkamp Thobe. On Nov. 3, 1956, she married Dale Miller in St. Johns Catholic Church, Maria Stein, and he died Sept. 22, 2012.

She is survived by children, Kristine (Mike) Gorman, Piqua, and Tony (Amy) Miller, Fort Wayne, Ind.; grandchildren, Matthew, Audrey and Olivia Gorman and A.J. Miller; seven stepgrandchildren; brothers and sisters, Alice Varno of Sidney, Delbert "Jiggs" (Velma) Thobe of Maria Stein, Mary C. Mescher of Coldwater, Martha (Thomas) Warner of New Bremen, Donald (Patty) Thobe of Maria Stein, Roland "Brownie" (Shirley) Thobe of Maria Stein, Marjorie (David) Moeller of Maria Stein, David "Dutch" (Jean) Thobe of Minster, Lois (Jay) Hogenkamp of Carthagena and Larry (Sandy) Thobe of St. Marys; and sisters-in-law, Mary Thobe of Maria Stein and Ginny Thobe of Maria Stein.

She is preceded in death by four brothers, Virgil "Butch" (Mary) Thobe, Werner "Barney" Thobe, Harold "Whitey" Thobe and Elton "Buck" (Norma) Thobe; brothers-in-law, Leonard Varno and John Mescher; and a sister-in-law, Linda Thobe.

She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster. She had worked for Minster schools, The Mr. Shoppe and the Tasty Treat, Minster.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating.

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Monday and 9-9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster. Burial is at St. Augustine Cemetery.
