Leokadia Poplaski, 86, Celina, passed away at 6:10 p.m. May 28, 2013, at Celina Manor Nursing Home in Celina.

She was born Feb. 18, 1927, in Budzyn Chodzierz, Poland, to Stanislaw "Stanley" and Zofia "Sophie" Gorzna Gaszczak.

Survivors are her sister, Anna Suchodomska of Poland, and a niece, Zofia Jarochiewicz of Poland.

She was preceded in death by her son, three brothers and three sisters.

She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina. She became a naturalized citizen June 25, 1976.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, Fr. Kenneth Alt officiating. Burial will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina.
