Minster's Adam Niemeyer was named The Daily Standard Baseball Player of the Year for the second straight season after helping the Wildcats to a share of the Midwest Athletic Conference championship and 21-2 final record. Niemeyer was 6-0 as a pitcher with a 0.71 ERA and 80 strikeouts in just 39 1/3 innings while batting .521 with 28 RBI.
Although the area had no shortage of talented baseball players, Adam Niemeyer left little doubt as to who should be named The Daily Standard's Baseball Player of the Year with the statistical season that he compiled. [
