Luetta Magoto
Luetta "Lolly" Magoto, 101, Celina, died June 22, 2013, at the Gardens of Celina.
She was born Nov. 26, 1911, in Burkettsville, to George and Mary Margaret Zumbrink Leugers. On Aug. 1, 1931, she married Ben L. Magoto, who died Dec. 5, 1989.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Margaret (Harold) Post of Celina; six grandchildren, Jan (Clarence) Eckstein Jr. of Celina, Gin (Al) Goins of Celina, Judy (TJ) Smalley of Celina, Steve Post of Celina, Barb (Bruce) Klepinger of Bradford and Ken (Deb) Post of Coldwater; 11 great-grandchildren, Jenny Feister, Ashley Eckstein, Jake Smalley, Ted Klepinger, Amanda Post, Matt Eckstein, Morgan Goins, Brook Smalley, Nash Klepinger, Kyle Post and Carly Post; and two great-great-grandchildren, Dylan Feister and Mason Feister.
She is preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Leugers and Gus Leugers; and five sisters, Carrie Allison, Frances Braun, Matilda Maier, Ann Miller and Regina Sutter.
She was retired after 31 years from Mersman Tables and Stokley's in Celina. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, and its Altar Society. Other affiliations include the Knights of St. John Auxiliary and its drill team.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Kenneth Schnipke officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
Calling is 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina.
Memorials may be given to The Gardens Activity Fund or the IC Endowment Fund.
