Max Zizelman
Max Duane Zizelman, 73, passed away at 11:25 p.m. July 1, 2013, at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born June 13, 1940, in Rockford, to W.M. Frederick and Bessie Flo Garwood. His mother later married Grover Burris.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly M. Zizelman; three sons, Douglas R. (Star) Zizelman, William D. (Linda) Zizelman and Steven L. Zizelman; three daughters, Vickie S. (Steve) Salmons, Connie F. Daisy and Maxine L. (Brett) Shady; 19 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Willard Zizelman; seven sisters, Mildred Exline, Geraldine Flemming, Lois Bollenbacher, Helen Henkle, Mary Stahl, Dorothy Piper and Ruth McClellon; and three granddaughters, Brandy, Love and Jordan.
He began working at New Idea in Coldwater before four years of service in the U.S. Navy. He then returned to New Idea, where he had 43 total years of employment. He also worked at H&S Manufacturing, from where he retired.
He lived for his family, and to ride the roads with his wife on their motorcycle. He was a member of the Grand Lake Motorcycle Club, the Goldwing Association and ABATE Motorcycle Association.
He donated his body to Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University.
A gathering of family and friends will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday at Neptune Center Township center.
