David Hendren
David Lyle Hendren, 59, Waverly, passed away July 16, 2013, after a battle with kidney cancer.
He was born Feb. 27, 1954, in Gallipolis, to Lloyd and Rose Marie Sanders Hendren. He married Karin Wik on June 30, 1978, and she survives.
Also surviving are his sons, Michael Hendren of Marysville and Dane Hendren of Waverly; a grandson, Wesley Hendren of Marysville; siblings, Brenda Smith of Celina, Don (Diana) Hendren of North Baltimore and Bertie (Vic) Muhlenkamp of Celina; and brothers-in-law, Don (Charlotte) Wik of Springboro and Alan (Sharon) Wik of Huber Heights; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Edith and Thorvald Wik.
He served in the U.S. Army. He had a love for motorcycles, and was looking forward to retirement so he could hunt and fish. He had worked 24 years at Agricultural Marketing Services as Assistant Federal State Supervisor.
Funeral services are 3 p.m. Saturday at Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, the Rev. Dale Reed officiating. Military services will be provided by American Legion Merritt Post #142, Waverly.
