GLSCL Honors
The Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League announced its individual awards for the 2013 season on Monday and five Grand Lake Mariners earned all-GLSCL honors.
Landowners in parts of Mercer and Auglaize counties and all of Van Wert County in the St. Marys River Watershed can apply for more than $1.5 million in Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI) funds to help combat toxic blue-green algae blooms that continue to plague western Lake Erie.
Nominations are being accepted for one open seat on each of the Farm Service Agency (FSA) committees for Mercer and Auglaize counties.
Each county committee is comprised of three members who each serve a three-year term. The deadline to nominate candidates is Thursday.
