One of three Kansas brothers who became instant stars with popular YouTube videos about farming will speak at the inaugural Mercer County Ag Day on April 15.
Greg Peterson will be the featured presenter at the event at the Mercer County Fairgrounds, according to Wright State University-Lake Campus professor Greg Homan, who made the announcement during Thursday's monthly agriculture breakfast meeting in Celina. [More]

NEW BREMEN - It has been a busy week for the New Bremen Lady Cardinals.
On Monday night they lost to Fort Recovery after four overtime periods and then suffered another defeat on Tuesday at Spencerville.

COLDWATER - Minster got the hot shooting hand in the second quarter and the Wildcats capped their Midwest Athletic Conference schedule with a 58-46 win over a short-handed Coldwater squad on Thursday at The Palace.
ROCKFORD - After a back-and-forth first half, St. Henry took control in the third quarter and the Redskins defeated Parkway 48-37 on Thursday night in Midwest Athletic Conference action in Rockford.

With a couple of teams advancing to the state basketball tournament and the emergence of its first era of big-time scorers like Kerry Myers, Tom Bryan, Ron Niekamp, Ken Heiby, Bob Howell and Jon Shindollar, the 1960s were very kind to Mercer County boys' basketball.
The Parkway High School Athletic Hall of Fame will be inducting two new members on Saturday, Feb. 8, when the Panthers host Lima Perry. A ceremony between the jayvee and varsity basketball games will honor Shawnette (Byer) Metzger and Neil Schaffner.
