Agnes Frilling
Agnes M. Frilling, 100, of Sidney, died at 2:35 a.m. Feb. 22, 2014, at Fairhaven County Home, where she had been a patient for one week.
She was born Sept. 4, 1913, near Sidney, to Bernard and Mathilda Hoelscher Mertz. On May 7, 1941, she married Raymond B. Frilling at St. Michael Church, and he preceded her in death Nov. 14, 1975.
She is survived by a daughter, Margene (Joseph) Opperman, Centerville; a son, Roger (Barbara) Frilling, Sidney; a son-in-law, Michael (Christine) Albers, Ashland; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Eileen Albers, a son, Jerry Frilling, three sisters and one brother.
She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie, the St. Anne Rosary & Altar Sodality, Apostleship of Prayer of the Church and The Gold Star Mothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael Church, with the Rev. Steven Shoup officiating. Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
Calling is 4-7 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
