Mendon
MENDON - William N. Snider, mayor of Mendon and a 50-year member of the Mendon Fire Department, died Feb. 27 at the age of 70.
His widow, Caral Snider, remembers her husband as a man who was totally dedicated to his family and community, particularly the fire department.

COLDWATER - Fort Recovery Coach Brian Patch figured the best chance he had of beating Marion Local was to slow things down a little.

State Wrestling
Coldwater's Justin Post assured himself a second trip to the podium with the chance to earn the highest finish in the history of the wrestling program after winning twice on Friday in the Division III state wrestling tournament in Columbus.
Division II State Boys Bowling
The Coldwater boys bowling team was one win away from making the championship match of the 2014 Division II state tournament, but Struthers came back to win the final three games of the best-of-five semifinals on Friday at Wayne Webb's Columbus Bowl.
Division III Boys Basketball Sectional

St. Henry pulled away in the second quarter with solid defense in capturing a Division III sectional title with a 51-37 win over Van Wert at Murotech Court in St. Marys on Friday night.
