Marcia Barker
Marcia Marie Wilch Barker, 85, Celina, passed away March 4, 2014, at her home after an extended illness.
She was born March 14, 1928, in Middletown, to Leo Pete and Helen Paden Wilch. On Nov. 10, 1945, she married Clarence Dudley Barker, who died Oct. 3, 2004.
She is survived by four children, Tom (Verna) Barker, Ken (Natalie) Barker and Helen (Mike) Stoops, all of Middletown, and Beth Ann Frisch, Celina; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a brother, William Wilch, Middletown; a sister, Ruby Weidner, Mt. Pleasant; and a cousin, Joe (Johanna) Wilch, Middletown.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon, and a brother, Bob Wilch.
She worked at Eastern Lanes in Middletown for many years before retiring to Celina in 1983. She continued working part time at Sunnyside Inn, Celina. She was an avid bowler and was inducted into the Middletown Bowling Hall of Fame in 1999. She was a member of the Southshore Sportsman's Club, Celina Moose Lodge 1473 and Coldwater American Legion Auxiliary Post 470.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater. Burial will follow in Burdge Cemetery, Montezuma.
Calling is 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
