Cara Ann Young
Cara Ann Young, 47, died peacefully March, 13, 2014, at her residence in St. Marys, after a battle with cardiac amyloidosis.
She was born Feb. 18, 1967 in Sidney to Vernon J. and Madonna C. (Post) Huber, who both survive in Maria Stein. On April 22, 1995, she married William A. Young, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Josh Young and Sam Young; and a daughter, Abbie Young, all of St. Marys; three brothers, Rob (Margaret) Huber, Athens, Tenn., Tom (Chris) Huber, Versailles, and Dick (Elaine) Huber, Minister; three sisters, Mary Jo (Dan) Hess, St. Rose; Jackie (Steve) Henry, St. Henry, and Amy (Don) Kemper, Chickasaw. Also surviving are three brothers-in-law, David (Melissa) Young, Concord, N.C., Dean (Angela) Young, Chicago, Ill., and Paul (Cynthia) Young, Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters-in-law, Mary Beth (Steve) Mielke and Amy (Andrew) Menker, both of St. Marys; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a 1985 graduate of Marion Local High School and attended Fort Wayne Business College and later earned her real estate license. Professionally, she worked with Kuck Realty and most recently with Cisco Realty in St. Marys. Cara was a dedicated member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Marys with a strong faith in Christ. She was an active member having served on the PTO, education commission and parish festival committee.
Cara was a loving and dedicated wife and mother. She enjoyed and cherished every moment she spent with her family. Cara never knew a stranger. She was a friend to everyone she met, fun-loving, generous, vibrant and full of life.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Monday in the Holy Rosary Church in St. Marys with the Revs. Barry Stechschulte officiating and Ned Brown co-officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in St. Marys.
Visitation is from 2-7 p.m. Sunday and a prayer service will be at 7 p.m. in the Cisco Funeral Home, St. Marys.
