FORT RECOVERY - Approximately 17,500 free-range chickens died Sunday night when fire destroyed a large poultry barn along State Line Road between state Route 219 and Siegrist-Jutte Road.
Deputy fired after allegedly drawing taser at courthouse
CELINA - A Mercer County Sheriff's deputy was fired last week after he reportedly drew a Taser gun inside the courthouse in February.
Kurt Niekamp, 24, of Celina, was terminated Wednesday following an internal investigation into the Feb. 26 incident at common pleas court.
