Roxy Vogan
Roxy Vogan, 74, St. Marys, died at 8:19 p.m. March 25, 2014, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Oct. 20, 1939, in St. Marys, to Paul and Violet Williams Rieger.
Surviving are two children, Jim (Freda) Vogan, Lexington, Tenn., and Lani (Steve) Byrley, Celina; four granddaughters, Carrie Vogan, Lisa Vogan, Amy (Samuel) Bell and Traci Byrley; a great-granddaughter, Braylee Bell; and two siblings, Paul Rieger, St. Marys, and Denise Kohler, Wapakoneta.
Deceased are her former husband, Jim Vogan; her close friend, Carroll Fischbach; and her sister, Shirley Hudson.
She was a 1957 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. She retired after 33 years of service at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, St. Marys. She was an accomplished artist, who painted in watercolor, pastel and oil media. She enjoyed being with her family, taking care of her home, traveling and working in her yard. She was a member of the Riverside Art Center.
Funeral rites are 11 a.m. Monday, at Miller Funeral Home West Chapel, St. Marys, the Rev. Barry Stechschulte officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 2-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
