Robert A. "Bob" Lefeld, 71, St. Henry, died April 27, 2014, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.

He was born April 1, 1943, in Celina, to Seraphim and Clarina Bettinger Lefeld. On May 14, 1966, he married Marjorie Nerderman in Holy Redeemer Church, New Bremen, and she survives in St. Henry.

Also surviving are eight children, Ken Lefeld, St. Henry; Karen (Mike) Heindel, Maria Stein; Kristina (Kevin) Sanning, Coldwater; Kim (Joe) Knapke, Fort Recovery; Kay (Dale) Berning, Anna; Kevin (Sara) Lefeld, St. Henry; Keith (Leslie) Lefeld, New Bremen, and Karla Lefeld, Kettering; 19 grandchildren; siblings, Linie (Rose) Lefeld, Tom (Judy) Lefeld, Leo (Ginny) Lefeld and Mary (Jim) Jutte, all of St. Henry; and Val (Connie) Lefeld, Burkettsville; and in-laws, Janet Lefeld, Coldwater; Fred (Sharon) Nerderman, Sidney; Rich (Norma) Nerderman, New Bremen; Ralph (Diane) Nerderman, St. Marys; Alice (Tom) Tumbusch, Coldwater; Jerry (Marilyn) Nerderman, New Bremen, and Doris Nerderman, New Bremen.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Art Lefeld and Ernie Lefeld; parents-in-law, Julius and Hilda Nerderman; and a sister-in-law, Carole Nerderman.

He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, the St. Henry K of C and the St. Henry Heritage Club. He was co-founder of B & L Construction in St. Henry and was an avid card player and fisherman. He loved woodworking.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Henry Church. Burial will follow in St. Henry Cemetery.

Calling is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
