Construction crews Monday afternoon pour concrete on the north side of West Main Street in Coldwater. The work, now completed, was partially funded with a grant through the Ohio Department of Transportation Enhancement Program; the village must pay 20 percent of the project's $482,000 cost, village administrator/engineer Eric Thomas said. The work includes installing new waste receptacles, planters, flower pots, benches, sidewalks and handicapped-accessible curb ramps. The project also includes new traffic signals and pedestrian crossing signals at the intersections of Main and Second streets and Main and Market streets, he said.
