Stanley Wuebker
Stanley B. Wuebker, 88, Minster, died at 10:35 p.m. May 11, 2014, at his home.
He was born June 2, 1925, in Minster, to Henry and Dorothy Winner Wuebker. On Oct. 18, 1947, he married Rita Meyer, who survives in Minster.
Also surviving are six children, Carol (Ron) Harris, Thousand Oaks, Calif., Dennis (Norma) Wuebker, Las Vegas, Nev., Brenda (Bill) Young, Minster, Christine (Ron) "Peach" Nerderman, Minster, Julie (Dave) Heuing, Russia, and Curtis (Cindi) Wuebker, Frisco, Texas; 24 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph (Dorothy) Wuebker, Minster, and Leonard Wuebker, Minster; and a sister, Martha Fullenkamp, Dayton.
Deceased are a daughter-in-law, Cindy Wuebker; a brother, Richard Wuebker; two sisters, Donna Quinlin and Marcella Pleiman; three brothers-in-law, Jerome Pleiman, Lester Fullenkamp, and Thomas Quinlin; and two sisters-in-law, Vera Wuebker and Viola Wuebker.
He graduated from Minster High School in 1943. He was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army and served as an infantry instructor. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, where he was an usher.
He was also a member of the Minster Knights of Columbus Council 2158 and the American Legion Post 0387. He was a semi-truck driver for 35 years and retired from The Dannon Company. He also volunteered at Lake Loramie State park for 16 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, RVing, fishing and golf.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Friday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with full military rites.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-9:30 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
Memorials may be given to the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Grand Lake Hospice.
