Kenneth Adams
Kenneth Ray Adams, 86, Ottawa, died May 23, 2014, at the Meadows at Putnam Acres, Ottawa.
He was born Dec. 13, 1927, in Rimer, to Burl and Velma Davis Adams. On May 29, 1952, he married Betty Lou Laux, who died Feb. 12, 1989. On Feb. 1, 1991, he married Frances Downing, who survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Ron (Darlene) Adams and Michael (Kimberley) Adams, both of Celina; a stepdaughter, Kathy Ramey, Indianapolis, Ind.; three stepsons, Steven (Sue Campbell) Basinger, Ottawa, Darrin (Jayme) Basinger, Harpster, and Terry (Rena) Basinger, Marysville; four grandsons, Douglas (Sharee Werling) Adams, Eric Adams, Brayton Adams and Brecken Adams; seven stepgrandchildren, Nick Ramey, Phillip Ramey, Rachel Ramey, Cody Basinger, Kate Basinger, Karlee Basinger and Lynzie Basinger; a great-granddaughter, Emma Adams; two stepgreat-granddaughters, Sadie and Catie Ramey; two brothers, John Adams, Rockford, and Bob Adams, Mendon; and a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Adams, Mendon.
He was a laborer at New Idea and was a farmer. He was a member of the Pandora United Methodist Church and the Moose Lodge and Fraternal Order of Eagles, Celina. He was an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns fan and was a Rockford High School graduate.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William Adams, and two sisters, Elnore Jenkins and Ann Townsend.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
