A third and final loop hiking trail was recently completed at the Dr. Elizabeth Yahl Kuffner Nature preserve, owned by the Heritage Trails Park District in Auglaize County. The preserve is the only publicly-owned wooded area in the county and was donated to the district by the Kuffner family. It is located along state Route 66, north of St. Marys. A proposed income tax levy on the Nov. 4 election ballot would help maintain the park and create new ones, officials said.
