Norma H. Brackman, 87, Fort Recovery, died July 17, 2014, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.

She was born March 14, 1927, in Yorkshire, to Joseph and Katherine Walterbusch Mescher. On April 22, 1950, she married Ivo Brackman in Osgood, and he died May 3, 2011.

Surviving are seven children, Mary Ann (Urban) Kaup and Irene (Ralph) Evers, all of Coldwater, Eileen (Alvin) Homan, Minster, Ruth (Tom) Hays, Rockford, Dorothy (Ted) Stammen, St. Henry, Theresa (Dave) Schroer and Jerry (Pam) Brackman, all of Fort Recovery; five siblings, Richard (Carolyn) Mescher, North Star, Linus Mescher, Portland, Ind., Alfred (Janet) Mescher, Troy, Alfrieda (Glen) Anderson, Universal City, Texas, and Joe (Betty) Mescher, Versailles; a brother-in-law, Leonard Otte, Maria Stein; 25 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

Deceased are siblings Vincent (Olivia) Mescher, Norbert Mescher, Loretta Otte, Wilbert (Carol) Mescher, Rita (Elmer) Siefring, Theresa Mescher and Elmer Mescher; in-laws, Margaret Mescher, Mary Ann Mescher, Ray (Anna) Brackman, Zeno (Julie) Brackman, Herb (Dolores) Brackman, Marie (Aloys) Buddendeck and Rita Buddendeck; and a granddaughter, Rachel Brackman.

She was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church and its Altar Sodality of Fort Recovery. She had been active on the family farm in St. Peter and enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and being with family.

Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Calling is 1-6 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
