Ryan Missler
Ryan Patrick Missler, Grove City, formerly of St. Marys, was welcomed into God's arms on Aug. 9, 2014.
He was born Aug. 23, 1975, in St. Marys, to Nancy Moots and Michael Missler, who survive. He was married to Heather Curry, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Trent and Caden Missler; three siblings, Betsie (Jeff) Parren, Aaron (Michelle) Missler and Keary Missler; and numerous nieces, nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins; and extended family and friends, who were inspired by the way he lived his life and loved him dearly.
He was a 1994 graduate of Dublin High School, Dublin, and went on to graduate from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1998. He was a loving husband, devoted father, caring son, loyal brother and generous friend. He deeply loved his family.
He was blessed with a courageous smile and a beautiful charismatic personality. He inspired those who knew him to always give their all and to take advantage of opportunities to create memories when they presented themselves.
He was named to the athletic hall of fame at both Dublin High School and Ohio Wesleyan University. After college he went on to play professional baseball as a shortstop and third-baseman. After his successful baseball career, he returned to the family business to serve as executive vice president of Missler's Irrigation.
He loved cars, Las Vegas and golfing with family and friends, but his favorite activity was spending time with his wife, sons and dog Stella.
