Rosy Neal
Rosy Elva Neal, 84, Venedocia, died at 12:30 a.m. Sept. 24, 2014, in Venedocia.
She was born May 7, 1930, in West Salem, Ill., to Joseph Oscar and Zelda B. Rodgers Neal. On June 29, 1958, she married Eual R. Neal, who died May 14, 2010.
Surviving are three daughters, Nila E. (Eric) Dull, Venedocia, Tina M. Neal, Marysville, and Sandra G. Neal, Botkins; two stepsons, Howard L. Neal, Livonia, Mich., and Curtis R. (Carol) Neal, East Wenatchee, Wash.; five grandchildren, Stephen and Elijah Shramo, Amanda (Rocky) VanBrimmer, Lily Marie Braden, Sarah (Larry) Harter and Emily Dull; three great-grandchildren, Domonic and Novalyn VanBrimmer, and Kaily Rose Harter; and two sisters, Beulah O. Thompson, Albion, Ill., and Velma M. Brown, Mt. Carmel, Ill.
Deceased are three sisters, M. Daphene Bowman, Martha Grace Bowman and C. Darlene Short and one grandchild, Vashti M. Shramo.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Apostolic Church, Van Wert. She had lived the past 44 years in Venedocia. She had worked at Burger King and Walmart, both in Van Wert, and at the Fremont Company, Rockford. Prior to moving to the area, she had worked at RCA in Indianapolis, Ind.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Van Wert Apostolic Church, Van Wert, the Rev. Eric Dull and Pastor Robert Frake officiating. Graveside services and burial are 1 p.m. Sunday at Neal Cemetery, Logan, Ill.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, and 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Apostolic church or to the charity of the donor's choice.
