Workers with VTF Excavation of Celina perform site preparation work on the east end of Lakefield Airport in Montezuma on Wednesday. The work involves creating an access ramp, drainage and foundation for a new hangar to be built in the future. The nearly $415,000 project, which also includes the relocation of several telephone poles and removal of an existing hangar, will mainly be funded by a Federal Aviation Administration grant.
