CELINA - The fire department is requesting more than $500,000 for capital purchases next year - the highest amount sought by a city department.

Celina Fire Chief Doug Wolters is seeking $508,245 for proposed expenses, including an estimated $365,000 to replace a rescue truck.

NEW BREMEN - The board of education on Wednesday night accepted the resignation of superintendent Howard Overman.
