Marlene Yaney
Marlene M. Puthoff Yaney, 73, Celina, passed away at 4:33 p.m. Dec. 17, 2014, at the Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born, Feb. 7, 1941, in Coldwater, to Harold Puthoff and Helena Leugers Puthoff-Harms.
Surviving are a daughter, Heather (William) Applegate, Celina; three grandchildren, Colin Applegate, Daniel Applegate and Natasha Applegate; three brothers, Charlie (Betsy) Puthoff, Evansville Ind., Duane (Carol) Puthoff, Celina, and Mary Puthoff, Celina; and a sister, Karen (Butch) Hoffman, Celina.
Deceased are three brothers, Donald Puthoff, Larry (Nola) Puthoff and James Puthoff.
She was a 1959 graduate of Immaculate Conception Catholic High School, Celina, and attended Wright State University-Lake Campus for several years while remaining employed at the dry cleaners in Celina.
She then attended Fort Wayne Beauty Academy to become a beautician in Celina. She took a job at the Huffy's Bicycle Plant, until she retired in 1997 after 32 years of service.
She loved her grandchildren; she was very proud of them and she enjoyed spending time with them. Everyone will remember her sense of humor and her quick wit.
Services are 5 p.m. Saturday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, Pastor Judy Baker officiating.
Calling is 1-5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
