Eva Houser
Eva M. Houser, 97, former resident of Bryant, Ind., passed away Friday at Swiss Village, Berne, Ind.
She was born April 7, 1917, in New Weston to Samuel and Bertha Manning Gibson. On June 22, 1935, she married Mahlon Houser, who died Dec. 26, 2003.
Surviving are two step-grandsons, Clifford (Sharron) Ball, Celina, and David L. Ball, Dunedin, Fla; two step-granddaughters Susan (Steven) Dietz and Annie (Alan) Sigler both of Logan; seven step-great-grandchildren; and six step-great-great-grandchildren
Also deceased are a daughter, Nancy Ball, and eight siblings.
She was a homemaker and member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Bryant.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, Portland, Ind., Pastor Robert Abner officiating. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery, Bryant, Ind.
Calling is 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Rose Ann Steinbrunner Smitley, 83, Geneva, Ind., passed away at 11:25 p.m. Dec. 17, 2014, at Chalet Nursing Home, Berne, Ind. [More]
