Stanley Springer
Stanley Richard "Dick" Springer, 80, passed away Feb. 17, 2015, at his home in Auburn, Ind., surrounded by his loving family.
He was born March 9, 1934, the son of the late Stan and Farol (Hamilton) Springer. He was married for 34 years to Peggy Springer, who survives in Auburn.
Also surviving are his sons, Mark (Sheri) Springer and Mike (Belinda) Springer, all of Van Wert; a daughter, Onna (Dan) Cramer, Van Wert; stepchildren, David (Jeanette) Wells, Woodburn, Ind., Diane Wells, Angola, Ind., and Susan (Scott) Koch, Waterloo, Ind.; a stepdaughter-in-law, Audrey Wells, Woodburn; a brother, Donnie (Dot) Springer, New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Pauline (Paul) Stein, Mendon, and Glenda Colby, Richmond, Ind.; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a stepson, Jeff Wells.
He was self-employed as an electronic technician for many years in Van Wert. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus.
He loved his Snow Lake home and lovingly shared it with family and friends. He loved being on the lakes with his family. He enjoyed woodworking, yard work and watching Indianapolis Colts and Notre Dame football, but mostly he enjoyed his family. He will be greatly missed.
Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn. Burial will follow at Scipio Cemetery in rural Harlan.
Visitation is from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
