The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for... Mercer County in west central Ohio...
* Until 700 AM EDT.
* At 309 AM EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Celina, Coldwater, St. Henry, Fort Recovery, Rockford, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Carthagena, Neptune, Chattanooga and Maria Stein.

Dorothy Siegrist
Dorothy K. Siegrist, 94, formerly of Maria Stein, died at 5:10 p.m. March 7, 2015, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
She was born Aug. 22, 1920, in Maria Stein, to the late Ludwig and Hildegard (Goecke) Hausfeld. She married Vitus Siegrist on April 28, 1945, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein. He preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 2003.
Surviving are her children, Judy and John Jernigan, Chickasha, Okla., Mike and Kathy Siegrist, Maria Stein, and Lois Siegrist, Maria Stein; a son-in-law and his wife, Rick and Gail Sells, Dayton; 10 grandchildren, Katherine and Jon Kopec, Sarah and Ryan McGovern, Elizabeth and Nick Strickling, Angela and Matt Kitzmiller, Brenda Patton, Christa and Kyle Rainey, Dana and Kortney Kugel, Elaina and Doug Gansert, Kelly Sells and Matthew Sells; 13 great-grandchildren, Zachary, Wesley and Henry Kopec, Cassidy and Elle McGovern, Jacob and Owen Kitzmiller, Lillian and Lucas Patton, Lydia Rainey, William Kugel and Ellis and Vincent Gansert.
Also deceased are a daughter, Jean Sells, and a brother, Marcellus and Mildred Hausfeld.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, and the Ladies Sodality of the church. She was a 1938 graduate of St. John High School, Maria Stein. She loved gardening and flowers. Her major hobby was baking pies and chocolate chip cookies.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
Memorials may be made to the Maria Stein Retreat House and Briarwood Village Memory Center.
