"Arnie" Stemen, 66, Riverside, passed away on March 14, 2015.

He was born to Archie and Zella Mae (Grimes Stemen, who are deceased.

Surviving are his children, Sam Stemen, Emily (Chris) Grashel and Zachary (Tara) Stemen; a granddaughter, Zella Jane Grashel; a sister, Katie Sutter; brothers, Roger (Pat) Stemen and James Stemen; and lifelong friend, Kevin Schmidt.

Also deceased is his niece, Zoe Mae Newman.

He was a mentor to many throughout his life. Arnie had a profound love for nature. As a Scout Master and Explorer, he instilled this in his children and those around him.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Tobias Funeral Home-Belmont Chapel.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
