Mary Moeller
Mary Margaret (Dorsten) Moeller, age 87, formerly of Minster, passed away of natural causes Monday morning, August 17, 2015, at Briarwood Village in Coldwater, Ohio. She had been a resident there since May.
She was born June 2, 1928, in New Weston, Ohio, to the late George and Margaret (Huwer) Dorsten. On July 23, 1949, at St. Louis Catholic Church in North Star, Mary was married to Thomas F. Moeller who survives.
Also surviving are four daughters: Diana Moeller of Owensboro, KY, Judy & Keith Lear of Bradford, Angela & Ron Young of Sidney, and Joyce & Dennis Aselage of Fort Loramie; 12 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren; two siblings, Eileen Steinbrunner of Marion, IN and Walter & Carol Dorsten of Texas; brothers & sisters-in-law: Andrew Moeller of Burkettsville, Armella Moeller of New Bremen, Mary Lou Eilerman of North Star, Joan Eilerman of North Star, James & Esther Moeller of Springfield, and Susan & Leroy Unrast of Willcox, AZ.
She was preceded in death by one son, Michael Moeller; one brother, Roger Dorsten; one great-granddaughter; sisters & brothers-in-law: Pat Dorsten, Harold Steinbrunner, Viola, Jerome, Algar & Velma Moeller, Bernard and Alfred Eilerman.
Mrs. Moeller was a dedicated homemaker. She graduated with the Versailles High School class of 1946.
Mary attended St. Michael Catholic Church and had also been active in St. Ann's Ladies Sodality. She was an Apostleship of Prayer Promoter and a prayer line volunteer.
She was a member of the Lake Loramie Improvement Association. Mary enjoyed reading, sewing, flowers, gardening and canning.
A Memorial Mass will be held 10:30 AM, Friday, August 21, 2015, at St. Michael Church in Fort Loramie with Rev. Steven Shoup presiding. Interment of cremains will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Friday 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Gehret Funeral Home, 64 Elm St. in Fort Loramie.
