Dale Sealscott
Dale Dennis John "Pete" Sealscott, 70, Celina, OH, passed away on September 30, 2015, at 11:23 A.M., at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center surrounded by his family.
He was born June 22, 1945 in Celina, to Harry T. and Luella (Fiely) Sealscott; both preceded him in death. He married Cynthia Williams on July 21, 1973; and she preceded him in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Wendy S (Randy) McNerney, Celina, Sarah (Lance) Gutchall, Peoria, IL; a sister in law, Bev Sealscott, Celina; a brother in law, Rudy Turner, Celina; two sister in laws, Barb Heitkamp, Minster and Susan Huckobey, Kerrville, TX; four grandchildren, Hunter and Karley Ann McNerney, Lennon and Chloe Gutchall; and several very special nieces and nephews.
He is also preceded in death by a brother, Alan "Bud" Sealscott; and two sisters, Donna Ritgers and Anna Lee Turner; two brother in laws, Robert Huckobey and Terry Heitkamp.
Pete was a 1964 graduate of IC Catholic High School, Celina. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He retired from Goodyear in St. Marys after 30 years of service; where he specialized in harassing his co-workers.
He was a member of Celina VFW Post 5713, Celina American Legion Post 210, Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 1291, and 11th Armored Cavalry's Veterans of Vietnam and Cambodia.
Pete loved snowmobiling, water skiing, vacationing in Lake Cumberland, participating on many bowling teams, playing keno and poker with his many friends. He was also famous for his many nicknames, Pete, P.T., Bubb, Bubba, and Blooper to name a few.
Visitation hours will be from 1-4 P.M., Sunday, October 4, 2015 in the Cisco Funeral Home, Celina; to conclude the visitation on Sunday, military honors will be provided by the Celina American Legion Post 210 and Celina VFW Post 5713.
Celebration of life services will begin at 10:00 AM on Monday in the funeral home with Rev. Matt Overman officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Celina, OH.
