Mark Schwieterman
On Oct. 3rd of 2015 Mark F. Schwieterman joined his wife Rose Mary in heaven.
He was born in St. Sebastian on Dec. 18, 1925 to Arthur & Mary (Dorsten) Schwieterman. On April 23, 1949 in St. Joe he married Rose Mary Steinbrunner.
Together they were the proud parents of 9 children, Dale (Nancy) Schwieterman, St. Sebastian, Carol (Dave) Knapke, Ft. Recovery, Ken (Gale) Schwieterman, Lafayette, IN, Marge (Harry) Heitkamp, Maria Stein, Ruth (Bill) Link, St. Henry, Tim (Ann) Schwieterman, St. Sebastian, Jane (Dale) Hein, Chickasaw, Glenn (Jo) Schwieterman, Cassella, and Joyce (Tim) Kemper, Marietta, GA. These children gave them 29 grandchildren who have given them 35 great grandchildren & 2 step great grandchildren. Mark is also survived by brothers & sister, Orval Schwieterman, Coldwater, Fr. Edgar Jutte, St. Charles, Tom & Vivian Jutte, Bellefontaine, Madonna Brunswick, Coldwater. Surviving in-laws are Delores Schwieterman, Maria Stein, Dorothy Jutte, Sidney, Teresa Steinbrunner, St. Joe, Jean Steinbrunner & Delores Abels, Coldwater, Eileen Steinbrunner, Marion, IN.
Deceased relatives are his parents, Arthur & Mary along with Ted Jutte, his stepfather, Helen Schwieterman, Roger Schwieterman, Donald Jutte, John Brunswick, Albert Steinbrunner, Carl Steinbrunner, Ralph Abels & Harold Steinbrunner.
Mark was a farmer for many years near St. Sebastian. During this time he served on the boards of the ASC, Marion Local Schools, Mercer County School Board and Milk Marketing. He was a member of the Mercer County Farm Bureau, St. Sebastian Church & Men's Sodality, Coldwater K of C and the CK of A in Cassella.
Mark & Rose Mary had spent their winters in Florida for many years. After moving off the farm they had a home on Clover Four Rd. & then moved to Maria Stein until Rose Mary passed away in 2006 and Mark moved to The Gardens at St. Henry in 2007, where he resided till his passing.
Mark is a member of the St. John's Catholic Church, where his funeral mass will be on Thursday, Oct. 8th at 10:30 am.
Visitation will be on Wed., Oct. 7th 2 pm till 8 pm at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
