A Mercer County Sheriff's deputy works at the scene of a semitrailer-car accident Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of U.S. 127 and U.S. 33 in Mercer. Pauline Steiner, 82, 301 State St., Rockford, was reportedly taken by squad to Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, for minor injuries. The 2004 Oldsmobile car and a semitrailer sustained disabling damage, according to sheriff's reports.
