Marie McQueen
Marie Elizabeth McQueen, age 95 of Union, Ohio and formerly of Celina, passed away at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday November 15, 2015 at the Cypress Pointe Health Campus in Englewood, Ohio.
She was born on Sept. 14, 1920 in Celina, Ohio to the late Frederick & Emma (Fuelling) Speckman. On June 1, 1940 she married Kenneth B. McQueen, who died Oct. 22, 1988.
Survivors include her daughter Judy Hardwick of Union, one granddaughter Tina & Steve Krimm of Dayton, three great grandchildren Crystal & Jonathan Bearss of Union, Trish & Joel Bearss of West Milton, Stacey Bennett of Cincinnati, two great-great grandchildren Sophie Bearss and Ellie Bearss.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Larry McQueen, brothers & sisters-in-law Richard & Bernice Speckman, Vernon & Helen Speckman, Carl & Edna Speckman, Don Speckman and Robert Speckman.
She was a former member of the Montezuma United Methodist Church in Montezuma. She owned and operated McQueen wholesale and retail bait shop in Montezuma with her husband. She was also an Avon representative for several years. She was a professional seamstress and loved to bake and cook.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday Nov. 19, 2015 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. Douglas Meyer officiating. Burial will follow in Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday Nov. 18, 2015 at the Funeral Home.
