Contractors for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources on Thursday continue work on an assessment of the approximately 4,800-foot earthen dam on the north end of West Bank Road in Celina. The assessment is part of a statewide evaluation of ODNR's Class 1 high-hazard potential dams. An ODNR official said the crew is taking multiple soil borings to determine soil conditions. "We're assessing them to see what kind of condition they're in," ODNR spokesman Matt Eiselstein told the newspaper.
