Students shave teachers

Eager students shave the heads of teachers Andy Waesch, left, and Toby Siefring on Wednesday as a reward for exceeding fundraising goals. Eight teachers and principal Derek Wenning participated in the fundraiser, promising Celina Intermediate School students they could shave the teachers' heads or beards if they raised more than $500. Students and staff raised $744.83 for the Cancer Association of Mercer County. Siefring's mother, Lois Siefring, was on hand to match the donation in memory of her husband, Greg, who died of cancer. With a few more anonymous donations, more than $2,000 was donated.
