S.F. "Red" Everman
S.F. "Red" Everman age 81 of Celina, passed away at 3:28 a.m. on Saturday Dec. 12, 2015 at the Celina Manor Nursing Home.
He was born on March 20, 1934 in Celina, Ohio to the late Victor & Catherine (Kahlig) Everman. On June 22, 1955 he married Bert Hein, who lives in Celina.
Also surviving are his children; Pamela & Randy Baker of Van Wert, Karen & Kevin Riesen, Mike & Marie Everman, Teresa & Mike Hoyng all of Celina, grandchildren; Aaron Riesen, Brittany Green, Justin Krogman, Shawn Everman, Gina Everman, Clayton Hoyng, Ryan Hoyng, 6 great grandchildren and a brother Ivo A. "Duke" Everman of Celina, brothers-in-law; J.R. Hein of Dayton, Ron & Marcia Hein of Trotwood, sisters-in-law; Ginny Moeller of Vandalia, Dort Hollingsworth of Clayton, Lucy & Jim Geise of Vandalia.
Red was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jerome W. "Jerry" Everman brothers-in-law; Lavern Hein, Ott Moeller, Phil Hollingsworth and his sister-in-law Pat Hein.
He graduated from I.C. High School with the Class of 1952. Red was a life member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina. He was very active with his church and was formerly on the I.C. school board, and the church council.
Red was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1800, American Society of Quality Control, Celina Moose Lodge, I.C. Church Commission and was a Past President of the I.C. Booster Club.
He retired from Huffy Bicycle plant in Celina in 1993 as the plant's Quality Control Manager and helped with the family farm.
It was very important to Red to raise his family with Catholic Christian Values. His favorite enjoyments in life were walking, fishing, riding bikes, landscaping his yard and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Red was an active life long Celina Bulldog fan and an Ohio State fan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday Dec. 17, 2015 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Kenneth Schnipke C.PP.S. officiating. Burial will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday Dec. 16, 2015 and 9-10 a.m. Thursday Dec. 17, 2015 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina. Knights of Columbus membership Service will be held at 8:00 p.m.
