Beverly Heffner
Beverly A. Heffner, 68, died Saturday, January 30, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center. She loved her Lord, family, and friends.
She was born April 8, 1947 in Decatur, IN, to the late Lester E. & Hazel E. Linn Ferguson. She married James Heffner on October 30, 1971, and he survives in Celina.
Other survivors include a Son, Jason (Carmen) Heffner of Convoy, a Daughter, Danielle Heffner of Philadelphia, PA, and Step-Granddaughters: Nevada & Savannah Smith. She is also survived by her Siblings: Becky Rasawehr, Max (Joy) Ferguson and Deborah (Tom) Smalley, all of Celina; Mary Jo (Steve) Muhlenkamp of Portland, IN; Peggy (Mike) Stroh of Wapakoneta and Rex (Marilyn) Ferguson of Celina.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, her Mother & Father-in-law: Walter & Vera Heffner, and a Brother-in-law, Kenneth Rasawehr.
She held numerous office and clerical positions while working at Mersman Tables, Thunderbird, Dunbar Furniture, Huffy Bicycles and Fanning & Howey, retiring from CAPT in 2013. She worked part-time as a clerk at Kaup Pharmacy in Berne, after her retirement.
She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Rockford, where she was a choir member, taught Sunday School, and had served as Superintendent of Adult Education and as President and Secretary of Women's Fellowship. She was a member of the Celina Flower & Garden Club, and a 1966 graduate of Celina Senior High School.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 3, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. Catherine Costello officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling Hours are 2:00-7:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 2, and 10:00-11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, at the Funeral Home.
Preferred Memorials are to C.A.L.L. Food Pantry, the Parkway Backpack Program, or the Cancer Association of Mercer County.
