Kenneth Frische
Kenneth I. Frische, 75, formerly of Celina, passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 11:25 am.
Ken was born in Sidney, OH on April 11, 1940 to Irvin Edward Frische and Thelma Maria Covert Eshleman Frische. He married Marilyn Louise Magee on Feb 16, 1963 at Trinity Church of the Brethren in Sidney, OH. Marilyn went to heaven on Dec 27, 2009.
They were blessed with two sons, Kevin (Jennifer) Frische and Kyle (Tamara) Frische both of Wapakoneta, OH and five grandchildren; Cory, Justin and Mary (Kevin and Jennifer) and Keith and Karissa (Kyle and Tamara). Ken is survived by 2 half-brothers; Kermit L. Frische and Robert Eshleman, and one half-sister; Joyce Frische Winney.
Ken was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Celina, OH where he served as treasurer for 11 years.
Ken was preceded in death by a brother, Lowell Frische.
He met Phyllis Beasley in 2010 and they became best friends and fell in love. With the blessings of Ken's family and Phyllis's daughter Kathy (Mark) Simon and their family, they exchanged vows on June 25, 2011. Ken was very blessed to have such wonderful women in his life. He left to join Marilyn in Heaven on Tuesday, March 22, 2016.
After graduating from Sidney High School in 1958, Ken served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1958 to 1962. After boot camp in Groton, CT, he was stationed in Duluth, MN, Boston, MA, Cape Christian, Greenland and Chicago, IL. He worked at the Wapak Truck Plaza, the former Fisher Cheese Co in Wapakoneta, OH and retired in 2003 from Reynolds and Reynolds in Celina, OH.
Visitation hours will be from 4-7 pm on Friday, March 25, 2016, at Cisco Funeral Home, 1175 E. Greenville Rd., St. Marys, Ohio.
Funeral services will begin at 11:30 am on Saturday morning in the Bethany United Methodist Church, Celina, with Jon Exman officiating; the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta, Ohio; where military honors will be provided by the Celina American Legion Post 210 and Celina VFW Post 5713.
