Strong winds over the weekend resulted in several downed poles and power lines and other incidents.

The Mercer County Sheriff's Office reported receiving about a dozen calls regarding wind issues. Local weatherman Dennis Howick said wind speeds reached between 50-55 mph this weekend.

CELINA - The elements outside were terrible on Saturday afternoon.

But Celina pitcher Seth Lonsway was terribly good.

The junior left-hander allowed two hits over five scoreless innings of baseball, and Celina defeated Greenville 6-0 at Montgomery Field.
