Rita Fisher
Rita M. Fisher, age 92, of Celina, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at The Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
She was born September 10, 1923 in St. Anthony, to the late Joseph P. & Rosa S. (Dues) Braun. Rita married Clifford L. Fisher on May 6, 1944, and he passed away March 9, 2006.
Their only son, David Allen Fisher, preceded them in death on September 20, 1963.
She is survived by a Special Great-Niece and Caregiver: Beverly (Gary) Ellis of Celina, and many Nieces & Nephews, including: Norita Kittle, Ronnie Huber, Alveria Staugler, Nettie Burger, Roberta Wagner, Donnie Heckman, Geri Schmackers, Joey Jauregui, Nancy Province, Suzie Connour and Richard, Jeanine, Kathy, Bobbie, Mark and Shirley Braun, and many other great-Nieces & Nephews. Also surviving are 2 Sisters-in-law: Barb Huelskamp of Coldwater and Hilda Fisher of Celina, and a Special Friend: Sister Nancy Wolfe, C.PP.S.
She was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Romie, John & Paul Braun and 5 Sisters: Margaret Huber, Loretta Heckman, Helen Walter, Bernadetta Jauregui and Madonna Braun.
A Homemaker, Rita had worked at the candy counter at Barr's 5 & 10ยข Store in Celina, and also was a Government Inspector for Scientific Specialty at the Pet Milk Plant in Coldwater. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Celina, and the Altar Rosary Society of the Church.
Rita enjoyed the company of her two dogs, Cricket I and Cricket II. When the weather was favorable, she liked to sit outside and watch over the neighborhood.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, April 20, at Immaculate Conception Church, Celina. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery in Celina.
Calling Hours are 4:00-7:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 19, and from 9:15-10:15 A.M. on Wednesday, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina.
