Daniel Schlarman
Daniel L. Schlarman, 39, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died May 17, 2016 at his residence.
He was born July 23, 1976 in Coldwater, OH, Thomas and Barbara (Metzcar) Schlarman. His father is deceased; his mother, Barbara Schlarman survives in St. Henry, Ohio. On November 23, 2002, he married Lori (Briner) Schlarman, who survives.
Also surviving is a son, Derrick Schlarman at home; two daughters, Liberty and Liana Schlarman at home; siblings, Shirley (Mike) Green of Lafayette, IN, Charlie Schlarman of Fort Recovery, OH, Don (Angie) Schlarman of Coldwater, OH, Ken Schlarman of Union City, OH, Deb (Chris) Teeters of St. Henry, OH, Denny (Andrea) Schlarman of Fort Recovery, OH, and Melissa (Michael) Hardwick of Portland, IN; father-in-law, Robert Briner and his wife, Judy of Fort Recovery, OH; mother-in-law, Julie Morton and her husband, Steve of Greenville, OH; in-laws, Kevin Briner of Greenville, OH, Michelle & Chris Dirksen of New Weston, OH, Kyle & Molly Briner of Fort Recovery, OH, Doug Morton of Greenville, OH, Austin Morton of Greenville, OH, Trey Morton of Greenville, OH, Marissa Morton of Greenville, OH and other extended family.
Daniel was a graduate of St. Henry High School, St. Henry. He served seven years in the US Army and participated in Operation Joint Forge in Bosnia-Herzegovina. He became a Disabled American Veteran after serving his overseas mission and he will be remembered for proudly serving his country.
He was a former member of the American Legion, St. Henry where he served as First Vice. Daniel currently was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6515 and the American Legion Post 345, both of Fort Recovery.
He enjoyed meeting other veterans at the V.F.W, chopping firewood and spending time with his family.
Services are 10:30 am Friday, May 20, 2016 at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home. Military honors will be conducted at the closing of the service at the funeral home.
Calling is 4:00 pm-7:00 pm Thursday and 9:30 am-10:30 am Friday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio. An American Legion prayer service will be held at 6:45 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
