Injury accident

Emergency responders survey the damage of an accident involving a pick-up truck pulling a horse in a trailer and a semi-trailer Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of state routes 29 and 49. Gary Davis, 70, of Van Wert, was driving the pick-up truck westbound on state Route 29 and suffered serious injuries, according to a Mercer County Sheriff's report. Davis reportedly was taken to Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater. The semi driver, Arturo Gonzalez, 43, El Paso, Texas, suffered minor injuries and declined medical transport. He was traveling northbound on state Route 49 and reportedly failed to yield at a stop sign. No condition information was available for the horse.
