Robert Wint
Robert Dale "Bob" Wint, age 72, of Celina, passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 at his residence.
He was born May 28, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Joseph & Evelyn (Wenning) Wint. Robert married Mary Jane Weitzel at Immaculate Conception Church on February 27, 1965.
Robert and Mary Jane are the parents of three children: two daughters, Leah Marie (Don) Mattise of Clarkston, Michigan and Lisa Marie Burnand of Noblesville, Indiana, a son, Spencer (Leslie) Wint of Linden, Michigan, two grandsons: Daniel James and Dustin James Mattise, two granddaughters, Marissa Ryan and Rylee Grace Burnand, and a great grandson, Emerson Reed Burnand.
On Robert's side of the family, he is survived by three nieces: Rene Sudhoff and Family, Rona Dellinger and family, and Sharon Wint and family. His brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law are: Ralph & Susie Weitzel, Joanne & Leroy Felver, Judy & Mike Hamberg, Roseann & Louis Miller, and David & Connie Weitzel, and many nieces and nephews. His best friends are: John McVay, RC & SW, Jim & Marie Morrow, and Pat & Angie Eiting, and also his buddy, Kevin.
Robert was preceded in death by: his brother & sister-in-law, Bill & Mary Duane Wint, nephew, Rodney Wint and his beautiful granddaughter, Allison Nicole Burnand.
A graduate of Coldwater High School, Robert had a career in computer science for 35 years, then continued his education to become a property appraiser. Robert's career took him many places: Celina, Van Wert, and White Lake, Michigan. He and Mary Jane returned back to Celina 11 years ago.
He was a member of V.F.W. Post #5713 and Eagles Aerie #1291 in Celina. Robert loved the water as a boater and fisherman. He enjoyed a hobby in photography. A generous and kind soul filled with gratitude, Robert never met a stranger. He had an incredible gift of wit that placed a smile on all.
Robert was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Celina, where there will be a Memorial Mass at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, June 21, with Fr. Ken Alt, C.PP.S., presiding. Following the Service, there will be a luncheon and time of fellowship at the I.C. Parish Activity Center.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception Endowment Fund, to benefit I.C. School.
