Work is moving swiftly on the new Mercer County Fairgrounds building as a crane on Monday morning lowers a truss onto the wooden structure. The project is estimated to cost $171,000. Contractors Joe Rose and Kevin Wuebker were chosen to construct the 50-feet-by-100 feet building east of the Cooper Farms Junior Fair Building. The new structure will house FFA and household department projects in an air-conditioned environment during the annual fair.
