$600,000 in state money will help fund project
ST. HENRY - A new community swimming pool should be open by summer 2018.
Village council members met with park board members Monday evening to discuss the new pool and bathhouse to be funded by $600,000 awarded in the state's biennial budget.
COLDWATER - Officials are looking into a developer's request for the village to take possession of a water detention area in a residential development.
NEW BREMEN - Council members voted on Monday to renew the village's liability and property insurance plan.
The plan is available through the Public Entities Pool of Ohio. It covers general liability, police professional liability, vehicles, buildings and equipment.
FORT RECOVERY - Council members on Monday passed on third reading an ordinance approving the village's proposed 2017 budget.
Projected revenues are $1.3 million with expenditures at about $1.5 million.
CELINA - The 12th annual Freedom Days celebration kicks off Friday with opening ceremonies and continues through Sunday at Lakeshore Park.
