Junita Steinbrunner
Junita H. "Jean" Steinbrunner, 87, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died on July 10, 2016, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater, Ohio.
She was born January 29, 1929, in Minster, OH, to the late Edward and Rosalia (Bertke) Heitkamp. On November 25, 1950, she married the late Carl Steinbrunner, who died June 18, 1994.
Surviving are her children, Lillian (Ken) Knapke of Fort Recovery, Roger (Teresa) Stein-brunner of New Bremen, OH, Edward (Janet) Steinbrunner of Fort Recovery, Gary (Linda) Steinbrunner of Fort Recovery, and Laura (Ed) Bettner of Centerville, OH; her siblings, Velma Bruns of Coldwater, OH, Alberta (Dave) Hackemoeller of Minster, OH, Dennis (Rita) Heitkamp of New Bremen, and David Heitkamp of Coldwater; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; a sister-in law, Rosemary Heitkamp of McCartyville, OH; and in-laws, Delores Abels of Coldwater, Theresa Steinbrunner of Fort Recovery, Eileen Steinbrunner of Marion, IN, and Orville Schwieterman of Coldwater.
Deceased are her brothers, Lloyd Heitkamp, Norbert Heitkamp and an infant brother; her sisters, Irene Ruschau, Alvira Schoenlein and her infant sister; sisters-in-law, Tecla Heitkamp and Mary Heitkamp; brothers-in-law, Marinus Ruschau and Herbert Schoenlein; a great granddaughter, Emily Bruns and in-laws, Albert Stein-brunner, Harold Steinbrunner, Helen Schwieterman and Rosemary Schwieterman.
Jean was a former volunteer at the Mercer County Community Hospital. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joe, and its Altar Sodality. She was a devout Catholic and a loving wife and mother. She took pride in her seamstress work and enjoyed playing cards, going to dances with her husband and spending time with her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Thursday, July 14, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joe, Ohio, Fr. Ned Brown and Fr. Matthew Feist concelebrating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, St. Joe, Ohio.
Calling is 2:00 pm-8:00 pm Wednesday and 9:00 am-9:45 am Thursday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
