Beatin' the heat

Swimmers beat the heat at Celina's Bryson Memorial Swimming Pool on Tuesday afternoon when the temperature reached 86 degrees. Today's predicted high is 87 degrees and the expected high on both Thursday and Friday is 91, local weatherman Dennis Howick said. The pool will host a night swim from 9-11 p.m. Thursday. Dates for upcoming night swims are listed on the Celina Parks and Recreation Department's website, pool manager Shelly Morris said.
