Radio control hydroplane racers from near and far came to compete in the Celina Summer Challenge over the weekend at Eastview Park in Celina. The 25th annual event drew racers from Canada, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Ohio. Sanctioned by the International Model Power Boat Association, the Summer Challenge featured roughly 70 hydroplane teams and 150 boats competing in 12 classes, with speeds up to 100 mph.
