Mary Ann Severt-Overman
Mary Ann Severt-Overman, 85, of Saint Marys, died 3:05 P.M. Sunday, August 13, 2016, at the Saint Marys Living Center.
She was born September 17, 1930, in Chickasaw, Ohio, the daughter of Henry and Rosa (Holdheide) Kramer. She married Roman Severt on June 9, 1951; he preceded her in death on October 31, 1996. She then married Eugene Overman on October 25, 2003, and he died on August 8, 2010.
She is survived by her ten children: Patrick (Victoria) Severt of Saint Marys; Jeanette Liette of Saint Marys; Elaine (Dean) Blakeman of Monticello, Kentucky; Christine Madden of Cincinnati; Angela (Dan) Fleck of Celina; Mark Severt of Saint Marys; Lori (Ken) DeFeo of Costa Mesa, California; Paul (Amy) Severt of Austin, Texas; Daniel (Jan) Severt of Saint Marys; Nick (Lisa) Severt of Cincinnati. She is survived by her step-children: Jean (John) Lore of Ansonia, Ohio; Paul (Becky) Overman Of Fort Loramie; Martha Jutte of New Bremen; John (Twyla) Overman of Lima. Mrs. Severt is survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Norbert Kramer of Chickasaw.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; by a son, Joseph Severt; by a son-in-law, Ken Jutte; by her siblings: Al Kramer, Andrew Kramer, Werner Kramer, Helen Connolly, Agnes Knapke and Othmer Kramer.
Mary Ann was a 1948 graduate of Maria Stein High School She was a farm wife and homemaker. She later worked as a caregiver to elderly patients. She loved to garden, sew and mend clothes. She will be remembered as a very friendly and helpful woman.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 19, 2016, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Saint Marys, Father Barry Stechschulte, celebrant. Burial will follow at Gethesmane Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-8 P.M. Thursday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, where memorial gifts may be given to the Holy Rosary Church Building Fund. Friends and family may also call from 9:00 A.M.-10:30 A.M. Friday at the funeral home prior to processing to Holy Rosary Church for the funeral Mass.
